Miller-Motte Technical College in Conway, SC needs your help! Our busy CDL Program continues to grow and is seeking a talented CDL Instructor.
The CDL Instructor is responsible for providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment in their training field. Every instructor plays an important dual role as a member of the instructional staff and as an advisor to students. Instructors are responsible for maintaining professional competence, for keeping personal knowledge current, for participating in departmental and campus-wide activities, for developing a positive and active learning environment in the classroom for students, and for delivering and assessing established program competencies and outcomes. To accomplish this goal, all instructors utilize their talents, skills, and abilities in a coordinated and consistent team effort under the guidance and supervision of the Director of
education
, Program Director, or his/her designee.

years' experience operating a Class A vehicle and hold a valid Class A license from his/her state of residence
Absense of felony conviction, or conviction of a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude, in the ten years immediately preceding the date of application
Absense of revocation or suspension of driver's license in the two years immediately preceding the date of application
High school diploma or GED required
Absense of felony conviction for moving violations totaling seven or more cumulative points within three years of the date of application

Pre-trip inspection
Air-brake test
Straight line backing
45 degree alley-docking
Parallel parking-sightside/blind side
Shifting patterns-Driving highway,city,night vs day,and in different weather
Institutional Duties - Responsibility:
a. To the school
1) Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all school policies, and adhere to and uphold their implementation and enforcement.
2) Meet faithfully all assigned
classes
.
3) Assist in maintaining a safe environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
b. Administrative
1) Maintain and post office hours for the purpose of student advisement and tutoring. The schedule should include Friday hours as assigned for full-time faculty members.
2) Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student progress, performance, and attendance as required by school policy and procedure.
3) Maintain appropriate confidentiality when working with students, records, and administrative staff.
c. Curriculum & Instruction
1) Participate in the curriculum development and monitoring process.
2) Make recommendations for additions to, or upgrading of, curriculum, course materials, equipment, and textbooks.
3) Recommend library/resource center acquisitions; assist the Librarian in culling the library collection.
d. Professionalism
1) Remain current with developments within the area of instructional responsibility through memberships in professional organizations, seminars, workshops, and continuing education courses.
2) Maintain professional dress and demeanor.
Instructional Duties - Responsibilities
a. Classroom/Laboratory Management
1) Provide students with a full understanding of course objectives (syllabus, course outlines, and course materials/equipment) on the first day of class.
2) Maintain appropriate classroom control while utilizing a variety of teaching methods and strategies to meet the needs of varying student learning styles.
3) Maintain records of course preparation (lesson plans, etc.) and evaluation tools (examinations, quizzes, project/portfolio assignments, etc.), and submit as required.
b. Instructional Delivery & Presentation
1) Present enthusiastic, well-prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus and outline.
2) Provide students with class/laboratory objectives daily.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
