Sales Associate II

This position is responsible for assisting customers to locate and purchase merchandise including but not limited to trade books, textbooks, computer products and/other merchandise.
Provides excellent customer service by performing the following duties:
Greets customersCompletes sales transactions in accordance to all company standardsAssists customers with product information.
Responds to inquiries of products and merchandise.
May assist in buyback/rush related activitiesAnswers phones and directs calls appropriatelyMay perform data entry/order placement for books and /or merchandise as directed by manager.
Shelve books and maintain shelves/stock organizing and arranging books and merchandise as appropriate.
Lifts and carries boxes, books and other merchandise.
May help load or unload trucks.
Maintains merchandising standards in departments as necessaryIn partnership with manager, monitors and coordinates on-line orders and fulfillment by:
Processing online ordersPulling books and merchandisePreparing orders pick-up or shipmentCommunicating order status to customers.
File documents, invoices, requisitions and packing slips.
May open and sort mail and material.
Assist in training new associates and serves as subject matter expert.
Take inventory as needed and may have responsibility for ensuring general merchandise reorders are completed.
May provide customer service/sales functions for special events including but not limited to author signings, graduation and athletic events.
Conducts research into charge backs, late orders, and shipping requisitions to answer inquiries and resolve problems.
Compiles data to prepare status reports.
Fills in for other associates during absences and breaks.
May work at other store locations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
